Tuition

The online Master of Social Work (MSW) is a CSWE-accredited, 60-credit program that provides the same challenging and interactive education as Case Western Reserve University’s on-campus program.

Tuition for the 2022–2023 academic year is $1,630 per credit hour. There is an additional $20 activity fee per credit hour for online MSW students.

The tuition for 2023-2024 academic year will be $1,650 per credit hour.

Please note that tuition and fees are subject to change and may increase each year.

Financial Aid

There are many ways to fund your graduate social work education. When evaluating how to pay for your degree, you should consider a number of resources, including personal resources, external scholarships, employer tuition assistance and federal student aid programs.

Scholarships

All incoming students in the online Master of Social Work program will be considered for Online Social Work at CWRU scholarships.

Scholarships are offered upon admission into the program, and opportunities are evaluated on a cohort-by-cohort basis.

Applying for Federal Student Aid

To apply for federal student loans, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

You must complete the FAFSA each academic year in order to remain eligible for federal student aid. Please reference the chart below to determine which FAFSA to complete based on your desired start date:
